The International Journal of Arts and Sciences’ (IJAS) academic conference in Paris (11-14 April 2016) will once again be hosted by FIAP Jean Monnet (30 rue Cabanis, 75014 Paris). The location is within walking proximity of the Saint-Jacques and Glacière metro stations. The buses for the educational tours will be parked on rue de la Santé, about 250 meters from the FIAP building.

Ibrahim H. Badr, Ph.D.

- is an Associate Professor in the Department of French Studies at York University, in Toronto, where he has been teaching since 1993.

- He received his Doctorate (Ph.D) in French Literature from l’Université de Provence (Aix-Marseille I), in France.

- He has won two prestigious awards in teaching excellence: The University-Wide Teaching Award (York University, 1999), and OCUFA Teaching Award (Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Association, 2000).

- He has also obtained the title of Officier dans l’Ordre des Palmes académiques of the French Government (1990), and the Fulbright Scholar Award from the American Government (Michigan State University, 1992).

- He was a Professor and Chair of the Department of French at the University of Khartoum, Sudan. He also taught at Brock University, in Ontario; and the University of Buffalo in the US.

- He authored two books, Jean Giono: L’esthétique de la violence (Peter Lang, 1998), and Giono et la guerre: Idéologie et imaginaire (Peter Lang, 2000) ; and co-authored a 3rd. Book, La Francophonie; esthétique et dynamique de libération (Peter Lang, 2007) and wrote many articles on French and Francophone Literature.
